This winter, discover Chadstone’s Light to Night – a bold new festival celebrating art, food and music.
This month-long program, starting from 11 June, invites you to explore Chadstone in a whole new way, inspired by the transition felt under the iconic gridshell roof from day into evening. With experiences for all ages and interests, Light to Night brings together immersive cultural offerings, dining experiences and after-dark entertainment on a city‑scale – offering the kind of moments usually reserved for major festivals and institutions.
At the centre of program is celebrated Australian artist Rone’s first full-scale exhibition in three years. Titled HOME, this work reimagines a familiar Australian weatherboard house within an unexpected setting.
In collaboration with Melbourne Food & Wine, we will draw on the legacy of the legendary World’s Longest Lunch to deliver the World’s Longest Dinner, marking the first time the event has been held outside traditional festival programming.
Food lovers can also gather for Dinners with Friends a series of intimate dining events in The Market Pavilion, hosted by leading voices from Australia’s food scene.
In the luxury precinct, rising artist Dean Norton will collaborate with Studio John Fish to present Through the Looking Glass, a large-scale mind-bending light sculpture.
As the sun sets, the festival comes alive with after-dark music performances and hype events, while families can enjoy a school holiday program designed to spark creativity in younger audiences.
