How do I purchase a digital gift card through the Chadstone app?
To purchase a digital gift card, you will first need to sign up or log in to your Chadstone app account. Then click ‘Gift card’ from the home screen. Tap the link to ‘Buy Digital Gift Card’ and follow the steps through to purchase.
How can I check my gift card balance?
To check the balance of your digital gift card, you will need the text message sent to you from Chadstone. Tap the link in your text message to view your gift card details and copy down the gift card number listed. Scroll down to tap the ‘Check Balance’ button or visit https://www.waivpay.com/balance-check/. Enter in your 19-digit digital gift card number.
When do gift cards expire?
Gift cards expire 36 months after the issue dated. To check the expiry date of your digital gift card, you will need the text message sent to you from Chadstone. Tap the link in your text message to view your gift card details and copy down the gift card number listed. Scroll down to tap the ‘Check Balance’ button or visit https://www.waivpay.com/balance-check/. Enter in your 19-digit digital gift card number.
Are gift cards physical or digital?
Only digital gift cards can be purchased through the Chadstone app. Physical gift cards can be purchased in centre or online at the above link.
What do I do if I sent a gift card to someone without the mobile app?
If your gift card recipient does not have the Chadstone app, they can download it from the Apple App store or Google Play store and then create an account.
What do I do if I sent a digital gift card to someone who does not use Apple Pay or Google Pay?
As listed in our app terms and conditions, it is your responsibility to ensure your designated recipient has a device that uses Apple Pay or Google Pay before sending a digital gift card. If you would like to cancel a digital gift card and change to a physical gift card, a $10 reissuance fee applies.
What happens if I send a digital gift card to the wrong person and they spend the funds?
As listed in our app terms and conditions, it is your responsibility to ensure you have entered your recipient’s contact details correctly. In the event that a gift card is sent to the wrong person and funds have been spent, we can cancel the current card and issue a new card to a new mobile number. A $10 reissuance fee applies.
What service fees are required to purchase a gift card?
A $2.95 service fee applies for each gift card purchased.
How much can I load onto a digital gift card?
You can purchase a total of $1000 AUD for a single gift card. Note: total daily gift card purchases cannot exceed $1000 AUD nor be below $10 AUD.
How can I pay for a gift card?
We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Apple Pay and UnionPay as payment types for a digital gift card.
The app won’t allow me to complete my purchase. What do I do?
- First confirm that you have not purchased more than the $1000 AUD daily limit for digital gift card purchases, nor have you attempted to make a purchase below $10 AUD.
- Check that you have entered the details for an appropriate payment type correctly (we accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Apple Pay and UnionPay.
- Verify that your card details are valid.

Can I get a refund for my digital gift card purchase?
We do not allow for refunds of digital gift card purchases aside from an instance when their has been a technical failure within the Chadstone app.
I live overseas, can I purchase a Chadstone digital gift card?
Digital gift cards may only be made by with an Australian credit card where the associated billing address is within Australia.
