Light to Night transforms into a vibrant, hands-on experience these school holidays, inviting kids to step inside an evolving artwork made for participation. In partnership with Rone, this interactive program blends art, imagination and play across a richly detailed, immersive environment.
Inspired by the familiar charm of a suburban home, the space reinterprets RONE’s signature aesthetic through bold colour and layered storytelling. From the outside, a fully realised streetscape draws children in – complete with picket fencing, turf, trees and a strikingly illustrated facade. Step inside, and two distinct interior worlds await, a kitchen and a tool shed, each beginning in black and white, gradually brought to life through colour as young creatives leave their mark.
Working with a local artist, the interiors feature carefully curated linework designed to be coloured, shaped and completed over time. Kids can choose how they engage by either contributing their piece to the collective installation or taking their artwork home. Every interaction builds on the last, transforming the space into a living, growing work of art.
Equal parts creative workshop and immersive play space, this Winter School Holiday Program is designed to spark imagination while connecting young audiences with the Light to Night experience in a meaningful and memorable way.

For those who believe in the magic of make-believe and the wonder of childhood dreams, Hotel Chadstone Melbourne invites you to experience Unicorn High Tea at Altus Rooftop Bar.
Surrounded by wraparound windows and stunning uninterrupted views, children and grown-ups alike are invited to enjoy a whimsical feast. Picture pastel delights, sparkling treats, and a sprinkle of unicorn magic in every bite. Little ones will be enchanted by a playful menu featuring Mystical Meadow Ham & Cheese Bagels, Fairy Bread, Starlight Chicken Sliders, Sweet Frosted Pony Pops, Magical Bubble Gum Cake, and Strawberry Unicorn Hearts, all beautifully presented on a three-tier golden stand and served with accompanying teas.

DO I NEED TO BOOK?
Yes, this is a fully bookable experience, for $5 per ticket, with limited walk-up access available on the day, subject to availability.
WHERE IS THE EXPERIENCE LOCATED?
The exhibition is located on Lower Ground Level, outside Target.
WHAT AGES IS THIS SUITABLE FOR?
The experience is suitable for children aged 3-12 years old.
All children under 18 years attending the Activity must be accompanied by a guardian or parent. Adults unaccompanied by a child cannot make a booking or attend.
DO I NEED TO BOOK FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN?
All individuals intending to attend (adults and children) must have a booking.
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your confirmed booking time and have a digital version of your ticket ready for check in.
If you arrive earlier, feel free to pick up a coffee from one of the surrounding cafes, while you wait for your time slot.
We recommend planning additional time into your journey to secure a car park and navigate through the centre.
WHAT IF I WANT TO CHANGE MY BOOKING?
If you need to change the date or time of your experience, you will need to make a new booking based on your preferred option from the remaining available slots. Once this has been completed, please contact us by using the online form available at [email protected] and a member of our friendly team will be able to cancel your original booking.

Chadstone First members receive email updates about the latest offers, event details and news of what is happening in-centre. When booking for this activity, you will be invited to join Chadstone First if you’re not already a member. You must be 18+ to book. All children under 18 years attending the activity must be accompanied and supervised by a guardian or parent. Bookings cost $5 per child. Adults may attend for supervision only and are not permitted to participate. Booking only available via chadstone.com.au. Limited sessions available from 27/6/26 – 12/7/26. Limited walk-ups accepted, subject to availability. Max group size per booking of 6. Each ticket to the activity entitles an individual to a 40-minute session.
