Italian designer Carla Zampatti, winner of the Australian Fashion Laureate award, released her debut collection in 1965. She introduced it with practicality in mind, envisioning the brand as a wholesale business for fashion boutiques, unaware that it would one day become a name to reckon with in the Australian fashion scene. Carla Zampatti launched the legendary label that takes after her name in 1970, to blend Italian style with Australian creativity.  Carla Zampatti soon expanded her fashion house with the inclusion of a swimwear range in 1973, making her one of the first few Australian designers to foray into the swimwear niche. The brand launched an exclusive perfume line called “Carla” ten years later and a second by the name “Belezza” in 1987, following the former's success. Through the years, the Carla Zampatti fashion label has established a firm footing in the fashion industry, expanding its retail network to numerous concept stores and boutique chains across Australia. The brand's contemporary collections have kept up with trends in women's fashion for nearly four decades, while breathing life into many trends of their own. Today, the Carla Zampatti collection is designed distinctly around the modern Australian lifestyle. The creator, Carla Zampatti, has a good understanding of the changing face of fashion, and moulds her work to suit different scenarios, from boardroom meetings and formal dinners, to casual loungewear. As a fashion magnate and an influential designer, Carla Zampatti has created stunning pieces for media personalities and celebrities. The use of vivid hues such as lime yellow, royal blue and red only add to the overall look of a Zampatti dress. Located on the ground level, the Carla Zampatti boutique in Chadstone has a stunning display of the fashion house's 'Australia meets Italy' style collections. Car park F is set close by, offering a convenient parking space for store visitors.
