Introducing Rebecca Vallance’s Spring/Summer 22 collection, inspired by the spirit of the liberation of women in the 1960’s and the iconic Twiggy Lawson (widely know by the nickname Twiggy). The DNA of this collection embraces London during a time when women were shedding the societal expectations from previous decades - the 1960’s woman like the RV woman is bold and in control of fulfilling her own destiny.
Strong silhouettes and designs from the swinging 60s are reflected in this collection such as sweet A-line dresses, suits and dresses with military details, spongey knit sets that dazzle with metallic yarn or crochet knit and the female tuxedo - sexy in style yet effortless to wear. The feeling of sartorial freedom is also encapsulated in the exaggerated silhouettes - oversized bows, extreme puffed sleeves or a waistline whittled in by ruching.
Fabrics are rich in colour with 60’s florals along with clashing colours and oversized abstract prints and textured boucle tweeds, mixed with pearl/diamante hardware, feminine touches five the feeling of being ladylike roaming the streets of West London.
