Christmas just got a whole lot more delicious. Piccolina launches their Panettone con Gelato, it’s show-stopping holiday hero that takes Italy's most beloved Christmas cake and gives it the gelato treatment it never knew it needed.
This year, Piccolina’s pastry maestros have gone into full-Italian-nonna mode by taking a traditional Italian Panettone and hand-stuffing each one full to the brim with the Gelateria’s iconic artisanal gelato.
The Panettone
Italian panettone soaked in a roasted hazelnut infused syrup, filled with Piccolina’s signature Better than Nutella gelato layered with chocolate shards. The panettone is topped with a dark-chocolate & roasted hazelnut glaze, dotted with milk and white chocolate crisp pearls, topped with a gianduja bauble. Presented in a limited-edition gift box. Serves 16.
"We've sourced the finest ingredients to craft our Panettone the old-school way — then filled it with freshly churned gelato straight from our laboratorio. It's pretty magical ." says founder Sandra Foti.
A cornerstone of Italian Christmas celebrations, Panettone is far more than cake — it's an art form. Made from buttery, slow-rising dough studded with candied peel and sultanas, each panettone has then been soaked in a hazelnut syrup and filled with our creamy gelato. “It takes our chefs over five days of careful craftsmanship from start to finish to complete each Panettone. It's an intensive process that demands patience and respect for tradition.” says Foti.
