Sixtie, Essentia, Swinging Sautoirs…
The Maison unveils a shapeshifting symphony of joyous colour. A set of new turquoise timepieces, which encapsulates Piaget’s legacy of timeless creativity and intensely hued exuberance.
This year, Piaget invites us to rediscover the captivating beauty of turquoise—an ornamental stone which has inspired cultures and civilisations for millennia— with a bold new collection of jewellery watches that fuse the Maison’s legendary craftsmanship, flair for colour and play of shapes. From the softly sculpted lines of its newest Sixtie jewelry watch, to the cascading silhouettes of its Swinging Sautoirs, Piaget continues to defy convention and celebrate convention-breaking, life-affirming creativity.
For centuries, turquoise has been revered for its luminous blue intensity. The ancient Egyptians believed turquoise held powers of renewal, while the Aztecs called it the “stone of the gods”, while Piaget fell in love with the richness of the blue hues, evoking the French Riviera. Piaget, ever drawn to colour’s expressive possibilities, embraced turquoise as early as 1963 when it pioneered the use of vibrant ornamental stone dials paired with its groundbreaking ultra-thin watch movements. Its audacious combination of artistry and technical mastery transformed the face of luxury watchmaking, establishing Piaget as a watchmaker first, then a jeweller in an era that prized freethinking creativity above all else.
